Home » Municipality » Location
The Municipality of Borovo covers 245 sq. kilometers, and is situated in the South-Eastern region of the Danube Plain. The region has been inhabited since at least the 4th Century B.C., when it was home to Thracians. The greater Municipality is made up of 6 villages, and the town of Borovo. Borovo itself is only 40 km. South of the regional center and port-city of Rousse.
Borovo lies on both the train line from Rousse (and the rest of Northern Europe) to Sofia, and the highway between the two cities, giving it easy access to shipping routes.
